Globalization, population change, and rural-to-urban movement are the main causes of the enormous issues faced by rural communities. Every growing nation, including the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI), has a sizable proportion of rural farmers among its populace. This study was done in the Sulaimani Governorate, which was divided into six main districts namely; Garmian, Penjwin, Halabja, Chamchamal, Sharazur, and Raniya, and aimed to compare the groundwater level with summer crop water demand. The weighted Sum Method (WSM) and a Normalized Difference Vegetation Index map (NDVI) were used to analyze and illustrate the current water demand status for summer crops. The study employed a participatory research design, utilizing a purposive sampling method to select 60 representative farmers, 25 key decision-makers, representatives from Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and experts in the field of water management. Data was collected through the use of focus group discussions (FGDs) and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) to gather information from the selected participants. This study is innovative in its attempt to establish a correlation between the yield of summer crops and the availability of groundwater. As a conclusion for this study, the results suggest that the level of groundwater plays a significant role in determining the production of summer crops. Additionally, the sustainable development of various regions within the Sulaimani Governorate is influenced by a complex interplay of environmental, economic, and social factors. Future work will be focus on doing a detail research regarding time series for ground water level (GWL) vs. crop production vs. NDVI.A globalização, a transição demográfica e o êxodo rural são as principais problemas enfrentados pelas comunidades rurais.

Tourism resources is one of the most important destination attributes which helps to create an image for the destination and attract the tourists. This study aims to investigate how the domestic tourists visiting Ningxia evaluates Ningxia’s destination attributes (Tourism Resources) and how their evaluation future behavioural intentions, that is, their intention to recommend and to revisit Ningxia. The study will also investigate how destination familiarity moderates the relationship of destination attributes evaluations and future behavioural intentions. In the current study, the researchers reviewed the literatures in order to explore domestic tourists’ travelling behaviour, experiences, and some extensive discussions on their satisfaction level. The researchers have conducted a general search for tourists’ behaviour, and more specifically on moderating role destination familiarity on future behavioural intentions. This study made the contribution towards body of knowledge by reviewing previous literatures related to the evaluation of destination attributes. The study revealed that, when tourists choose a place to visit, they are attracted by destination attributes, more specifically by tourism related resources in the destination

Sneak-peek: high speed covert channels in data center networks

With the advent of big data, modern businesses face an increasing need to store and process large volumes of sensitive customer information on the cloud. In these environments, resources are shared across a multitude of mutually untrusting tenants increasing propensity for data leakage. With the recent spate of high-profile data exfiltration attacks and the emergence of critical vulnerabilities such as Heartbleed and Shellshock, coupled with increasing use of clouds in all aspects of our daily lives, this problem stands to grow further in severity. In this thesis, we present a novel network-based covert channel that can arise in the context of shared network resources in data-center environments even in the presence of network monitors regulating flow destinations with NAC policies and VLAN-based isolation mechanisms. Through a series of experiments on diverse network hardware (including SDNs) and commercial clouds such as EC2 and Azure, we demonstrate that our network-based channel achieves orders of magnitude greater bit rates than reported in any recent literature. Furthermore, we present an information-theoretic framework to model and study the channel. Using this model we derive an upper bound on the information rate of the channel and propose a coding scheme that nearly achieves this upper bound. Additionally we introduce some techniques to make the covert channel robust to noise, and empirically study its performance in the presence of realistic cross-traffic. Finally, we discuss several avenues for mitigation, and demonstrate the effectiveness of our schemes both empirically and mathematically
